DSCSA looking to improve student center

Student Body President Dewey Denning said he hopes the potential renovations to the Gardner Center will create a university atmosphere for those currently attending Dixie State College and entice prospective students. Current students may have to have an increase in tuition and fees for the production to proceed.

DSC students suspended for burglary

After attempting to burglarize Dixie State College, two students face several charges along with expulsion. Damages to the Russel Taylor Health Science Center from the break in are up to $1,900; in addition, hundreds of dollars were almost stolen in medical supplies.

Dixie Forum offers insight for students

A lecture series called the Dixie Forum offers a variety of speakers on several different topics throughout the semesters at Dixie State College. These lectures provide students with awareness and culture. Students who wish to attend the Dixie Forum can also earn college credit.

New businesses opening despite recession

New businesses in St. George are currently thriving and growing. Places such as the Dixie Igloo Ice Centre are successfully bringing in many customers despite the economy.

Applications for Sen. Bennett internships due Feb. 28

Representatives from Sen. Bob Bennett's office will be on the Dixie State College Campus March 4 interviewing students who would like to complete an internship during summer semester in Washington, D.C. There are six positions available. For those students who wish to apply, the items listed below must be submitted with each student application before qualifying for an interview.
