Assistant professor dies Saturday after battle with cancer

Assistant professor Adi Thelen, 37, passed away in her home Saturday morning after battling cervical cancer. A celebration of Thelen's accomplishments in life will be held tomorrow at noon in the Jennings Building in Studio C. Check back for more information soon.

Hirschi, Leavitt elected as new student body officers

After a week of campaigning, Abby Hirschi and Thomas Leavitt have been voted in as next school year's student body president and vice president, respectively. "I feel like they both have an in-depth knowledge of how everything works in student government," said Dewey Denning, current student body president and senior communication major from Iona, Idaho.

Voting on DSCSA changes delayed

Student government failed to follow its own constitution, therefore changing the process in which students vote on the new constitution. Students can vote on the new constitution March 16 and 17.

Employees seeking changes to pay period

Every underage student who is in possession of alcohol or drugs must be cited by campus police. All students cited at Dixie State College are required to take classes in the Wellness Center if he or she is arrested for violation of drug or alcohol laws.

Five Dixie State College students will be traveling to Thailand for a humanitarian mission through an organization called YouthLINC. Each student going on the trip in June will receive $800 donation from one of their sponsors.
