The Salt Lake Bees are the Triple-A Minor League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Bees play at Spring Mobile Ballpark in downtown Salt Lake City. Fans can also see future Major League players here and enjoy a day of quality entertainment at a good price. The fans are also a big part of the experience at Spring Mobile Ballpark. Roveri, who has also been to a Bees game, said the fans were really supportive of the team.

"Fans still showed up, even if the team wasn't the best in the league," Roveri said.

Just 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City plays host to the Orem Owlz, the Rookie Minor League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Owlz offer a different experience from the Bees and 51s. As a Rookie affiliate, the Owlz compete in the Pioneer League, and most of players on the team are younger players who just signed professional contracts out of high school or college. Most of the players are playing in their first professional season. Another difference is that the season of a Rookie affiliate is much shorter than the seasons of Single-A, Double-A and Triple-A teams. The Owlz's season is only about three months long, where as other Minor League Teams have a six-month season. The team plays in the summer months, so it is a good place to visit while on vacation.

Fans can also watch another Pioneer League team play in Utah. The Rookie Minor League affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Ogden Raptors, play just north of Salt Lake City. Much like the players for the Owlz, the players for the Raptors are young players who just signed a professional contract. Fans can enjoy a Raptors game at Lindquist Field, another one of the premier ballparks in the Minor Leagues. Digitalballpark.com rated the park as the 2007 ballpark of the year. The Raptors have led the Pioneer League in attendance every year since Lindquist Field opened in 1997. It is an environment that keeps the crowds rolling in year after year.

If students are lucky, they can catch the Owlz and the Raptors play each other, since they are both in the Pioneer League. Altogether, the teams square off against each other 17 times during the 2009 season.

Ryan Przestwor, a sophomore business major from Las Vegas, said going to a Minor League Baseball game is a good experience for learning about baseball and it is a good place to go to have fun for a good price.

"At a minor league game, you are seeing players that are going to be in the Major Leagues within a few years, for a very inexpensive price," Przestwor said.
