Every time "High School Musical" is mentioned or I see Vanessa Hudgens in her latest Neutrogena commercial, a scowl never ceases to creep across my face.

I can't push out of my mind the scandal involving Hudgens and her camera phone on a day that she forgot to dress herself. According to http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272615923.shtml, the Disney starlet sent nude pictures of herself to boyfriend Zac Efron in 2007. I can't help but wonder if the girl has any brains in that pretty little head of hers. However, "sexting" may be a lot more common than expected in our sheltered Beehive State.

I can still hear the sharp gossip ringing in my ears involving a girl in my high school, the same age as my 16-year-old sister. Apparently she was inspired by her favorite "High School Musical" star because the provocative snap of a camera quickly turned into a shot studied by Ogden High students.

What would possess someone to take such a picture and send it off for no less than the entire world to see? Maybe the thought of thousands of screaming teenage girls surrounding Efron on the red carpet was too much for Hudgens, and she had to take drastic measures to keep his attention. Of course you can blame her, right?

I can't imagine any guy wouldn't get at least a little excited with the arrival of such a picture to his hands. I can see it now: his eyes bugging out of their sockets like a cartoon character, as he saves the pic as his wallpaper and sends it to "a few close buddies" to flaunt what dessert he gets after dinner.

A guy I know frequently receives these types of "wake-up-call" texts, and he freely passes around the phone for all to see. His girlfriend, well aware of the cellular attention, is fine with the fame and continues her snapping. When does intimate turn to infinite? When is it OK to parade your body for all to see? Maybe it's acceptable if you are "entertaining" at a strip club in Vegas. But via text message?!
