Dear Kate: Creativity key for dating success

Malls are also a great resource for winter dates. The date could start with a bite to eat in the food court and then you could spend the rest of your time together window shopping. You could also play dress up in Hot Topic or Sears.
As the weather continues to get more frigid, it would be fun to stay inside and pretend there is a blizzard going on. You could watch all your favorite reality shows or guilty TV pleasures, such as "Cake Boss" or "Gossip Girl." Just make sure there are plenty of blankets available since there is a blizzard out. Or you could go above and beyond and figure out what your date loves to watch but has fallen behind on and either TiVo a few episodes or Hulu them.
Something a little different would be to get involved in a service project on a date. With the holiday season on the doorstep, there are so many opportunities to volunteer for a wide variety of service projects. It could be very interesting to get to know someone while participating in something you're passionate about and see what sort of sparks fly.
I wish you the best of luck in your newfound interest in the "woman." I hope your search for creative dates is fruitful and these ideas have been a source of inspiration. If nothing else, perhaps they are a jackpot of date options to be explored over the next month or so. Thanks for the letter!
Sincerely,
Kate
