Red Storm men hit century mark in win

"All of our freshmen will play a big role in the season," Whitehead said. "Zach Robbins played a huge game and he is only going to get bigger and better."
DSC out-rebounded Whittier 48-28 and scored 13 points off of those rebounds. The leaders for Whittier were Drew Menez and David Hayashi with 16 points each.
Whitehead said the team's expectations are to make the tournament.
"We want to make the NCAA Division II tournament," Whitehead said. "Last year we were on the bubble and the team that went to the tournament had the same record as us."
Ross said the main goal of the season is to win the conference and give no opportunity for another let down.
"[We need to] win the conference and make sure we make it into the tournament," Ross said. "That is our main goal, to take the conference."
The Red Storm begins the regular season Saturday at home against California State University, Dominguez Hills. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Burns Arena.
The Red Storm will then travel to Nampa, Idaho for the Northwest Nazarene Tournament Nov. 27 and 28, with two games against Central Washington University and the host school, Northwest Nazarene University.
