Dear students,
As the unofficial leader of the "Dixie Rebel Rebellion," I wish to point out that since 1994, St. John's University has been known as the "Red Storm" and their mascot is a somewhat devilish looking red thunderbird. That makes as much sense as the "Elsie the Borden Cow" idea, or was it a red bull? Visit me soon at rebelforever-noonrock.blogspot.com.

This letter is in response to a recent editorial entitled "Controversy in classrooms arise as course content causes potential issues." The author used the word 'academic freedom' twice without specifically defining it. (Continued…)

So you are suggesting that colleges should be fair and give equal time to all sorts of ideas and philosphies. Ok. So astronomy classes should also give an equal amount of time to astrology? Medical schools should give an equal amount of time to demon posession? There is a reason why academia is in favor of new ideas. (Continued…)
